JFCS’s 16th annual Ride to Fight Hunger
On June 14, Jewish Family and Children’s Services of Northern NJ will host its 16th annual Ride to Fight Hunger. The day is for everyone — it includes 50-, 25-, and 10-mile bike routes, a three-mile guided hike, games, and children’s entertainment, and food and drinks. It is a fun-filled time for the whole family as well as a vital JFCS fundraiser. The Jewish Standard is among the ride’s sponsors.
Why do we ride?
For the 7-year-old girl struggling with anxiety at school.
For the 85-year-old Holocaust survivor who desperately needs a home health aide to safely live in his home.
For the single mother with two young children who comes to our Corner Market Kosher Food Pantry, thankful for the food we provide her family.
For the out-of-work father who needs help honing his interview skills so he can find his next job to support his family.
So, we ask again: Why do we ride?
The answer is simple. JFCS is here to support everyone in our community — we serve 6,000 people a year. The money raised during the Ride to Fight Hunger is integral to JFCS’s ability to be a lifeline to all who face life’s many challenges. By lending your support, you can make an enormous difference in the lives of the mothers, fathers, and children of Northern NJ.
