Feeding needy children - The Jewish Standard

The Jewish Community Center of Paramus/Congregation Beth Tikvah’s CARE (Community Action Reaching Everyone) Committee participated in a new project to make weekends happier for many children who experience food insecurity. A dozen CARE committee members and friends met recently at the shul to pack 65 child-friendly snack packs, which were donated to the Center for Food Action. These packs are distributed discretely to elementary students to provide extra nutrition for the weekends. The project was funded by donations from generous synagogue members.
