Female softball players from north and central New Jersey who attend Naaleh High School for Girls in Fair Lawn, Ma’ayanot Yeshiva High School for Girls in Teaneck, the Frisch School in Paramus, and Ilan High School in Ocean Township participated in the third annual LVIS/S 4G NCSY Softball Tournament. It was held from May 14-17 at Camp Dora Golding. The Ma’ayanot Rapids were the winning (and repeat) tournament champions.
The tournament also included a Shabbaton centered around friendship, leadership, and Jewish connection. Hosted through 4G, NCSY’s growing girls programming initiative, the tournament united girls already participating in weekly learning and mentorship with teens from a broader range of schools and backgrounds. It aimed to create opportunities for new relationships and stronger peer connection outside the classroom.
The initiative, led by Suzanne Rabinovitch, reflects a growing demand for meaningful, low-pressure experiences for teen girls.
