The Bergen County YJCC in Washington Township is beginning a new session of ceramics classes the week of January 19. The YJCC’s ceramics studio includes six electric potter’s wheels, two extruders, a slab roller, and two electric kilns. Through individualized instruction, beginners will learn the basics of hand building and wheel throwing. More experienced students explore advanced techniques to develop more complex forms.
Ceramics artist Raye Ellen Cooke teaches the class. The YJCC is at 605 Pascack Road. For information, call (201) 666-6610.
