Sinai Schools will hold its annual Unique Inspirations student art show on Sunday, April 19, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at Congregation Beth Abraham in Bergenfield. The show will feature artwork created through Sinai’s Paley-Mironov art therapy program by students at its New Jersey schools: Sinai at Joseph Kushner Hebrew Academy and Sinai Maor High School, both in Livingston; Cross River Sinai School at Rosenberg Yeshiva of North Jersey in River Edge; and Sinai Shalem schools at Ma’ayanot and Torah Academy of Bergen County in Teaneck. Hors d’oeuvres and kid-friendly foods will be served.

Art shows also will be held to showcase the art of students at the Irving Montak Sinai School at SAR Academy in Riverdale, NY, on Tuesday, May 12, and students at Sinai at YCQ on Wednesday, May 13 at YCQ in Kew Gardens Hills, NY.

The students created the artwork through Sinai’s Paley-Mironov art therapy program. Art therapy is a tool to help children understand, express, and cope with the challenges they encounter. With the encouragement and guidance of Sinai’s art therapists, the children of Sinai Schools used a variety of materials to produce the inspiring artwork that will be displayed at the shows. Each piece is a unique expression of using art to empower, to communicate, and to visualize.

These family-friendly art shows are generously sponsored by Bear Givers through their EmpowerART program. They enable children with disabilities or in hospitals to experience joy and pride in creating art and seeing it showcased and sold at their own art exhibition. That makes a meaningful contribution since all art sale proceeds are donated to their school, hospital, or organization. For more information, go to sinaischools.org.
