Beth Tikvah of Wayne has a new cantor
Cantor Laura Breznick is Temple Beth Tikvah of Wayne’s new cantor and director of education. She was a student cantor at Temple Emanuel in Roanoke, VA; Temple Beth Shalom in Arnold, MD; and Temple Beth-El in Jersey City, where she also was the cantor and education director.
A New Jersey native, Cantor Breznick studied at the Hartt School of Music and the Greenberg Center for Judaic Studies at the University of Hartford before attending cantorial school at Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion. She also completed a unit of clinical pastoral education as a chaplain intern at NYU Langone Medical Center. Cantor Breznick was ordained by the Debbie Friedman School of Sacred Music at the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in 2016.
