Exploring the shofar on Zoom - The Jewish Standard

Michael Gropper, a ba’al tekiah — a master shofar blower— offers “Sinai to SoFi: Confessions of a Master Blaster,” on Zoom for the Kol Rina Independent Minyan of South Orange. It is on Sunday, September 6, at 7 p.m. Last year he became the first person to sound the shofar as part of an NFL game, fittingly for the Los Angeles Rams. Based in Los Angeles and representing American Friends of Bar-Ilan University, Michael is dedicated to strengthening connections to Israel and bringing Jewish tradition to life.
