More than 175 people attended the third annual interfaith concert at Temple Beth Tikvah in Wayne. It was sponsored by the Jewish Historical Society of Northern New Jersey, chaired by Joy Kurland, and by Beth Tikvah’s Rabbi Israel Dresner Center for Collaborative Programs and Learning, Inc., chaired by Arthur Barchenko.

The performers at the concert were Tavim, the a capella choir at Congregation Beth Shalom in Teaneck, under the direction of Rabbi Louis Polisson, and the combined choirs of the First AME Zion Church of Paterson, led by Skip Van Rensalier, its music minister. AME Zion Church, founded in 1834, is the oldest church in Passaic County founded by people of African descent.

Joy Kurland and Arthur Barchenko presented a musical kaleidoscope to Skip Rensalier and Rabbi Louis Polisson.
