Sinai Schools will hold its annual benefit dinner on Sunday, February 24, at the Marriott Glenpointe Hotel in Teaneck. This year’s honorees are Dr. Robert and Shari Alter, Dr. Bin and Penina Goldman, and Rabbi Michael and Ayelet Hoenig. Cross River will accept Sinai’s Community Partnership award, and Sinai will present a special tribute in memory of its beloved associate director, Rachel Schulman, a”h, and dedicate the Rachel Schulman Memorial Fund.

Sinai has run seven inclusive special education schools across New York and New Jersey for more than three decades, working with children who have a wide range of developmental, intellectual, and complex learning disabilities. Sinai is recognized for its excellence in special education, providing highly individualized programming and extensive therapies to meet each child’s individual needs, all in the context of a Jewish education. The costs Sinai takes on each time it accepts a new student are extraordinarily high.

Sinai’s annual benefit dinner is its single largest fundraiser of the year, and it is critical to the school’s ability to educate the children who need it, regardless of their parents’ financial resources. The dinner draws crowds of more than 1,000 supporters from far and wide, who attend to show their support and to be inspired by the powerful program and films.
