It’s all about joy
Chabad of Hackensack wanted to share the High Holidays celebration and a Shana Tova greeting with everyone. The organization spent a long time searching for the perfect image of children laughing at the Rosh Hashanah table as they designed the billboard that sits on Route 4 West just near the River Edge exit.
And they found it!
“Sadly, too often people associate Judaism with ‘oy,’ but we wanted to show the truth. Judaism is all about joy,” Chabad of Hackensack’s director, Rabbi Mendy Kaminker, said. “We want to give people a reason to smile.”
When Rabbi Kaminker posted a picture of the billboard on Facebook, more than 1,000 people liked and commented excitedly about it. That means that it was clearly doing its job!
