Rep. Josh Gottheimer visits Bris Avrohom

Congressman Josh Gottheimer (D-NJ Dist. 5) visited Bris Avrohom of Fair Lawn, where he helped secure a government grant to enhance security at the shul. He toured the facility and offered suggestions on areas where security improvements could be made. After the meeting, the congressman put on tefillin with Rabbi Mordechai Kanelsky and recited the Shema.
Bris Avrohom of Fair Lawn, established in 1993 by Rabbi Berel and Chaya Esther Zaltzman, ob”m, is led by Rabbi Mendel and Elke Zaltzman and serves as a central hub for the Russian Jewish community. The shul hosts daily minyanim, community gatherings, and a range of programs and activities for community members of all ages.
