Nutritionist to answer questions at JFS bike-athon

Author/nutritionist Heidi Skolnik of Nutrition Conditioning in Englewood Cliffs will be at the fifth annual Jewish Family Service Wheels for Meals — Ride to Fight Hunger on Sunday, June 14, at the Jewish Home at Rockleigh. Ride/walk participants and attendees will be able stop at the registration area for the opportunity to “Ask the Nutritionist.” Skolnik has led nutrition training with the New York Giants, New York Knicks, New York Mets, and Fordham University Athletics, The Julliard School, and the School of American Ballet, has written several books, and is a frequent guest on television programs. She has also worked individually with athletes from Major League Baseball, the National Basketball Association, Men’s and Women’s Major League Soccer, Olympic-level athletes, professional cyclists, and marathoners.

The Jewish Standard is among the event sponsors. Online registration is open for riders or walkers for the fundraising event at; proceeds from the Wheels for Meals — Ride to Fight Hunger will enable JFS, a non-profit organization in Teaneck, to continue its kosher Meals on Wheels program and food pantry that serve the homebound elderly and disabled individuals in Bergen County. Donations may be made online as well.
