The Kaplen JCC on the Palisades in Tenafly will hold its 22nd annual Play Fore! the Kids: Golf Outing, Tennis, and Games at the Alpine Country Club in Demarest on Monday, August 1. The day of fun raises vital funds to support the JCC’s commitment to being an inclusive community, allowing it to continue to offer a wide range of meaningful programs to meet the needs of the diverse community and help participants reach their highest potential. Michael Kollender, JoJo Rubach, and Barry Zeller are the founding co-chairs.

The day begins with men’s and women’s tennis and a round of golf that includes green fees, cart and caddy, on-course refreshments, and lunch. The day also features an afternoon of mah jongg or canasta; participants can play and have lunch with friends. The festivities continue into the evening with a summer soiree, including a kosher cocktail dinner reception with top-flight drinks and a lavish strolling dinner. Entertainer Alexander Boyce will perform magic. There will be prizes, raffles, and auctions that offer a chance to win exclusive one-of-a-kind packages.

“Play Fore! the Kids, at its core, underscores a JCC mission to provide an environment where people with disabilities have the opportunity to reach his or her own potential and have access to the support and services they need to participate fully as valued members of our community,” Steve Rogers, the JCC’s CEO, said. “We are continually raising the bar on our goals for the annual golf and games event to help us succeed in this effort and further our reach to help even more children to have access to important life experiences.”

Reservations for foursomes, games, and the dinner reception are at jccotp.org/playforethekids. A wide range of sponsorship opportunities also is available.
