Delaware senator is Norpac guest; Washington mission to follow
The Kazmir family will host Senator Chris Coons (D-Del.) at a Norpac pro-Israel private dinner on Sunday, May 19, at 6:30 p.m., in Closter. The evenings’s co-chairs include Esther and Ben Chouake, Deborah and Michael Blumenthal, and Monique and Mort Katz.
Norpac hosts its annual Mission to Washington on Tuesday, May 21; registration is open until May 12. Nearly 1,000 people will participate in the important day of U.S.-Israel relations advocacy with members of Congress. Mission attendees are bused (or can use their own transportation) to Washington in the morning, and go to a brief plenary session at the Warner Theatre with presentations by congressional leadership. Afterwards, they go to their assigned groups — usually with four to six others — and meet with members of Congress and their staff to discuss this year’s talking points about pressing legislation on U.S.-Israeli concerns. They go back home in early evening. Participants can register online at norpac.net. Glatt kosher meals and bus transportation from New York and New Jersey is included.
