Temple Israel and Jewish Community Center in Ridgewood celebrated the 10th anniversary of Rabbi David and Alla Fine’s arrival at the shul at the community’s annual Ways and Means dinner last month. The Fines were joined by their family, friends, and members of the two congregations within TI-JCC: Temple Israel, an egalitarian Conservative congregation and Reconstructionist Congregation Beth Israel.

The evening began with Havdalah and songs by the TI-JCC choir accompanied by the shul’s Bimah Band,  followed by tributes and presentations from Rabbi Fine’s brothers, sons, friends, Mayor Raymond Hache of Ridgewood, and shul president Robert Obeiter. Rabbi Fine spoke about his family’s 10 years with the community and sang a Hebrew song that he had sung to his wife at their wedding. The evening included a dinner, a silent auction, and dancing.
