“Dawn,” a new painting, right, by Englewood artist Rachelle Weisberger is on display at the Taller Boricua Gallery in Manhattan as part of the group show “Evolution/Revolution.” The exhibit, sponsored by the New York Society of Women Artists, runs through September 16. Ms. Weisberger is an active member of the group’s board; the organization was founded in 1925 and now represents 60 painters, sculptors, and graphic artists.
Ms. Weisberger’s work evokes psychological and spiritual themes and has been exhibited in leading galleries in the tristate area and is represented in private collections. She’s also the author of an award-winning book, “Biblical Beauty:
Ancient Secrets and Modern Solutions.” She is a member of both the East Hill Synagogue and Congregation Ahavath Torah in Englewood. A lifelong supporter of Israel, she is affiliated with the charitable organizations AMIT, Emunah of America, Hadassah: the Women’s Zionist Organization of America, and the American Israel Public Affairs Committee.
