Teaneck Holocaust Committee hosts book exhibition

During April, the Teaneck Library will be displaying an exhibition of the book “The Earth Has Not Forgotten: A Journey to Poland” by Debbie Teicholz Guedalia. Teaneck’s Jewish Community Council’s Holocaust Committee sponsors the annual exhibit.

The exhibit is a page-by-page framed display of her book, which shares its title with it. The author’s inspiration was a six-day trip to Poland, where she visited Warsaw, Krakow, Plaszow, Majdanek, Lublin, Auschwitz-Birkenau, and the Lopuchowo Forest. The book is a testament to the importance of preserving and visiting World War II concentration camps. The N.J. State Holocaust Commission approved the book to be used in all New Jersey high schools for its Holocaust education mandate.

The book is part of the U.S. Holocaust Museum Library and Lafayette College Library artist book collection. For more information, go to DebbieTeicholzGuedalia.com.

All are welcome to a meet-the-artist reception at the library, at 840 Teaneck Road, on Sunday, April 2, from 3 to 5 p.m. For library information, call (201) 837-4171 or go to www.teaneck.org.
