‘Synagogues of Newark’ extended
The “Synagogues of Newark” exhibit at the JCC Metrowest Gaelen Gallery East has been extended until August 26. The exhibit covers the history of Newark’s Jewish population through its variety of synagogues, their leaders, and the effects the institutions had on the city. The exhibit was the subject of a story in the July 12 Jewish Standard by Jonathan E. Lazarus. The program is open to the public. JCC Metrowest is at 760 Northfield Ave., West Orange.
