Support our troops for Purim - The Jewish Standard

Next time you head to your favorite big box store, pick up a box of individually packed nuts or trail mix marked kosher.

Koshertroops, which provides kosher holiday care packages for United States military personnel who are Jewish, will be putting together mishloach manot for Purim. The package, a traditional aspect of celebrating Purim, will be sent to active servicemen and servicewomen stationed abroad. The goods should be dropped off at 1 Green Hill Lane, Spring Valley.

You can also purchase Purim cards to sponsor holiday packages to Jewish American troops stationed overseas. The cards can be given in lieu of mishloach manot to friends and family, stating that a package has been sent to a Jewish member of the military.
