Rabbi Ephraim Simon, the executive director of Friends of Lubavitch in Bergen County, will tell his story — he started in public school and became a Chabad rabbi — and talk about organ donation. It’s part of Valley Chabad’s Fred and Edith Goldsmith Jewish Lecture Series and marks the yahrzeit of the Lubavitcher rebbe, Menachem Mendel Schneerson, who died on June 12, 1994.
Rabbi Simon is one of the few people who has donated many organs to save lives. His talk, part of Valley Chabad’s Jewish Pride lectures, is set for Wednesday, June 29, at 7 p.m., at Valley Chabad in Woodcliff Lake. Dinner will be served.
