Children are encouraged to wear costumes to the Rubach Family Purim Celebration at the Kaplen JCC on the Palisades. On March 17, from 1 to 4 p.m., there will be bounce houses, slides, inflatable photo booth, games, life-size cartoon characters, face painting, prizes, cotton candy, snacks, a DJ, Israeli dancing, a Purim puppet show and sing-along at 1:30 and 2:30, and roving actors who will perform 5-minute shows. Children with special needs and their families are welcome at noon for games and booths, Purim crafts, and other activities, before the carnival opens to the public.
