In a record-breaking show of support, nearly 400 people attended the Jewish National Fund’s fourth annual Breakfast for Israel on March 3 at Congregation B’nai Tikvah in North Brunswick. The breakfast was the most successful and well-attended to date.

Alon Ben-Gurion, the keynote speaker, told personal stories about his grandfather, David Ben-Gurion, and the legacy he left Israel. Ben-Gurion, an international hospitality consultant, has managed the revenue and operations of hotels around the world; he’s been the general manager of the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in Manhattan. He is using his extensive network and hospitality know-how to actively promote the development of Israel’s Negev Desert, working to make the region bloom and realize his grandfather’s dream.

The next Jewish National Fund breakfast is set for Sunday, May 5, at 10 a.m., at the Rockleigh. Professor Alan M. Dershowitz and JNF CEO Russell F. Robinson are the speakers. For more information, call Jacqueline Yehudiel at (973) 593-0095, ext. 823, or email her at jyehudiel@jnf.org.
