“We Remember: Songs of Survivors,” a special film presentation, premieres on PBS on April 26 at 8 p.m.
In the film, Holocaust survivors partner with songwriters to turn their life experiences into powerful music for a community concert. The resulting songs, filled with joy and healing, celebrate the extraordinary lives of this resilient generation. It was recorded in 2019 and is now debuting on PBS.
The film features survivors from the lower Hudson Valley, including Friede Gorewitz, z’’l, who was a long-time resident of West Nyack.
Rockland Jewish Family Service is among the sponsors. For more information, go to rjfs.org/survivor-services.
