Passaic Chabad Center offers five-week Hebrew crash course

Rabbi Mayer Gurkov of Wayne leads a five-session new course, “Read It In Hebrew” at the Chabad Center of Passaic County on Thursdays at 7 p.m. The flashcard-based language course, developed by the Jewish Learning Institute, promises users to learn to read Hebrew in five weeks. The first two lessons focus on the letters of the Hebrew alphabet and the last three introduce vowels and teach students how to read words.

“Read it in Hebrew” is designed for all people at all levels of Jewish knowledge, including those without any prior experience or background in Jewish learning. The course is open to the public, and attendees need not be affiliated with a synagogue, temple, or other house of worship. For more information, call (973) 896-0343 or go to jewishwayne.com.
