Paramus runs to support cancer research

Relay For Life of Paramus, a community event that raises funds for the American Cancer Society, plans its 10th annual Relay For Life, scheduled for June 11 to 12 on the Paramus High School football field. This year’s theme, “Through the Decades,” celebrates Valley Health System, which has participated in Relay For Life events for the last 20 years, and recognizes the Borough of Paramus’ 100th anniversary.

The plans include celebrating cancer survivors, remembering people who have died of cancer during a luminaria ceremony, and empowering the community to fight back through awareness and advocacy efforts. Teams will walk the track throughout the 12-hour event and can join onsite fundraising games and activities, including a trick-tray raffle sponsored by Paramus UNICO.
