Orangeburg has new education director
The Orangetown Jewish Center welcomed Rabbi Miriam Midlarsky Lichtenfeld in July as director of education for its Kulanu program. The OJC is offering Kulanu, a new concept for educating children through Jewish living, beginning in September.
Rabbi Lichtenfeld comes to OJC from the Albany area where she was educational director at the B’Yachad religious school for the last three years. that school that serves families from three synagogues of Conservative and Reform affiliations.
She was ordained at the Jewish Theological Seminary in 2003, and her rabbinic work has focused on Jewish education in New Jersey, New Orleans, and New York. Her passion is making Jewish texts and ideas relevant to students, and she is looking forward to doing this at the OJC in the newly designed program.
For more information, email her at Kulanu@theojc.org.
