“Project Heroes,” a multimedia stage experience that incorporates live music, documentary scenes, and high-tech video artwork, effects, and lighting, happened May 9 at the Museum of Jewish Heritage – A Living Memorial to the Holocaust in Manhattan.

A song in memory of Liron Barda, who stayed at the Nova Festival to care for the wounded instead of seeking her own safety.

It featured Gilad Segev, the award-winning Israeli singer/songwriter, and was dedicated to those people who lost their lives while saving others on October 7. The storytelling speaking parts and some songs are in English. Songs in Hebrew have English subtitles.

A song in memory of Ben Shimoni, who drove back and forth from the Nova site to Beer Sheva three times, saving eight lives.

This was Mr. Segev’s first stop on his global tour.

The original video and music were created by Mr. Segev and the families of the heroes. The performance includes Gilad Segev’s song “Achshav Tov,” which he dedicated to his brother, who died while serving in the IDF. To donate to Project Heroes, go to www.artsforchange.world/donate.
