Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W. Va.) was welcomed back to the Englewood home of Lori and Kevin Lemmer for a Norpac pro-Israel meeting.

Senator Capito was elected in 2014; before that, she had been a member of the U.S. House of Representatives for 14 years. She sits on the Senate’s Appropriations Committee; the Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee; the Environment and Public Works Committee; and the Rules and Administration Committee.

This year, Ms. Capito was an original co-sponsor of S.1, a bill that would approve the annual $3.3 billion in aid to Israel, increase American weapons stockpiles in Israel, and enact measures to ensure that states can divest safely from companies that boycott Israel. She also is an original co-sponsor of S. Res. 120, a resolution opposing efforts to delegitimize the State of Israel and the Global Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions Movement targeting Israel. Senator Capito is running for reelection in November.
