Nanuet plans its Purim spiel

A new Purim spiel musical, “Beauty and the Feast,” based on the Disney movie “Beauty and the Beast,” will be performed at the Nanuet Hebrew Center on March 16 and 20. It was written by Mindy Sayer, with musical arrangements by Charlie Markowitz.

The musical explores a young girl’s journey; first she has to figure out just how to fit in, and then, eventually, what to do as she finds herself a queen. Suddenly it is up to her to save her village and her people.
