The Academies @ Gerrard Berman Day School in Oakland marked Martin Luther King Jr. Day with a school assembly and a presentation about MLK. The morning continued with a Tu B’Shvat seder, pictured, with teacher Sarit Ginzburg, right, that included an explanation of the four cups of “wine” that represent the different seasons in Israel and the four plates that represent different kinds of fruits.
