Many members of the Jewish Community Center of Paramus/Congregation Beth Tikvah came out, despite the rainy weather, to donate bags of groceries, frozen turkeys, checks, and supermarket gift cards to support the Center for Food Action. For many years the synagogue’s community affairs committee of the JCCP/CBT has worked to feed the hungry in Bergen County. The synagogue holds two major food drives, one in the spring and one in the fall, as well as an ongoing food drive all year long. The drives are named for Fran Leib, z”l, who chaired the them for many years.
