Learning about Jewish New York 

Martin Schneit, a lifelong New Yorker, historian, and licensed city tour guide, talks about “How Jewish America Began in the Big Apple,” on Zoom, on Sunday , July 24, at 7 p.m., for the Jewish Historical Society of North Jersey. Topics include Sholom Aleichem, Brighton Beach, Zabar’s, and the Brownsville Girls to Yeshiva University and Henry Youngman.

This JHSNJ program is supported by a grant from the New Jersey Council for the Humanities with funding from the National Endowment for the Humanities through the American Rescue Plan Act.
