Knitting and crocheting for seniors

The Jewish Community Center of Northern New Jersey’s Active Seniors group offers “What Binds Us: A Weekly Knitting & Crocheting Circle” on Tuesday, May 10, 17 and 24, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.

The weekly group can help participants learn how to knit or crochet, pick up some new tips, or share some tips with the group. Extra yarn will be available for participants to use at no cost. Knitting and crocheting needles will be available for sale for $5. Roberta Abrams, a community volunteer and teacher from KnitTapestry in Waldwick, will be on hand May 17 to teach beginners. All levels of experience are welcome. Proof of vaccinations or a negative covid test within 48 hours of the program are required to participate in all programs. Masks are required for indoor activities.

JCCNNJ Seniors program is made possible in part with support from Jewish Federation of Northern NJ and Bergen County Division of Senior Services.
