Jon Anderson says Yes to Tel Aviv

It’s been a roundabout path to the long distance destination of Israel, but the core of the classic progressive rock band Yes is playing in Tel Aviv on Tuesday night.

Under the name ARW, Jon Anderson, Trevor Rabin, and Rick Wakeman promise “A night of Yes music and more.” Rabin and Wakeman are not members of the group Yes now, but were part of its lineup in its 70s and 80s heyday.

Rabin is Jewish; his great-grandfather was a cantor in Lithuania and his grandfather a kosher butcher in South Africa.
