The Jewish Federation of Northern New Jersey just completed its annual March Mega Food Drive. During the drive, volunteers collected more than 22,000 pounds of food, which was distributed to 20 food pantries in northern New Jersey. The community came together to make this happen. There were 50 collection sites, a committee of 23, and a new teen initiative that helped to make it so successful. Because food insecurity is still prevalent and food prices are soaring, the food pantries were so grateful for this community effort.
