The Jewish Federation of Northern New Jersey’s annual meeting on June 11 brought the community together to reflect on the past year, honor local leaders who made a difference, and introduce a new initiative, Jews for NJ. The initiative celebrates the diversity of Jewish life and invites everyone to show up, connect, and be part of something bigger.

The evening included elections of federation officers and approval of its bylaws, a community awards presentation, highlights from the year, and remarks by President Daniel C. Herz and CEO Jason M. Shames.

Susan Greenbaum received the Howard E. Charish Professional Leadership Award, Allyn Michaelson was given the Marge Bornstein Award for Outstanding Volunteerism, and the Young Leadership Award went to Stephanie Cohn.
