JEC’s basketball team advanced to playoffs

The Thunder – the JJV basketball team at the Rav Teitz Mesivta Academy in Elizabeth – advanced to the Yeshiva League play-offs for the first time in more than a decade. Kenny Mandel coaches the team; Ari Sohn assists.

The boys lost to Yavneh Academy in Paramus this week. Yavneh will play the Rosenbaum Yeshiva of North Jersey in River Edge, and then that winner will play the winner of the game between the Moriah School in Englewood and the Jewish Foundation School of Staten Island for the championship.
