Israeli basketball star Noga Pelc received a scholarship to play women’s basketball at Rutgers University. She’s also got family here; Rose Konigsberg of Bogota, a past president of Congregation Beth Sholom in Teaneck, is a cousin. Noga spends the Jewish holidays with Rose.

The Rutgers women’s basketball team was the number three seed in the Big Ten playoffs, had a 13-5 record in the Big Ten, and ended with an impressive 21-8 overall record.
