Volunteer opportunities
The Jewish Federation of Northern New Jersey’s Bonim Builders is working with the Nechama disaster relief agency to help clean out flood waters in our community, and it needs your help. Volunteers are gathering mornings at the Kaplen JCC on the Palisades at 8:15 am.

Volunteers must be at least 16 years old. Wear waterproof boots, pants, sweatshirt, and dress in layers. Tools and safety equipment will be provided. Bring work gloves, drinking water, and a brown bag lunch. Registration will take place on site. RSVP to Stacey Orden at staceyo@jfnnj.org or 201-820-3903 and indicate which date you prefer.

Bend the Arc: A Jewish Partnership for Justice is working with Newark’s Mayor Cory Booker to help local Newark organizations help with the city’s post-storm recovery. For details, and to donate, go to http://bit.ly/js-newark
Drop off your donations of nonperishable food items, baby supplies, and cleaning supplies at the Kaplen JCC on the Palisades and the federation will pick them up on Thursday, Nov. 15, and deliver them to food pantries in Bergen County.
