HaZamir selects two for awards at Lincoln Center unity concert

The Zamir Choral Foundation, founded and directed by Matthew Lazar, presents “HaZamir in Concert: Unity, Community, Harmony,” a gala concert by HaZamir, the international Jewish high school choir, at David Geffen Hall Lincoln Center on Sunday, March 31, at 4 p.m. 

Israeli prize-winning composer Nurit Hirsh will receive the coveted Kinor David award and Zoe Avery Grossman is the first HaZamir alumna Young Leadership awardee. Ms. Hirsh will perform with HaZamir.

The concert will feature more than 400 HaZamir singers. More than 100 of them are from Israel, and 39 American and 10 Israeli chapters will be represented.
