Gloria Nahum

Gloria Nahum, neé Elfenbein, of Paramus died on September 24.

Born in New York, she earned a degree from William Paterson College after raising four children. She taught third and fourth grade for 25 years in the Paramus public schools. She was a longtime member of the Jewish Community Center of Paramus/Congregation Beth Tikvah, where in June she was honored along with her husband at its annual dinner dance for 58 years of service to the shul. They also taught “Looking At Life With Humor” at the Bergen County YJCC and “Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow” at the JCCP/CBT.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Albert, children, Robert (Roberta), Kenneth (Ann), Laurie (Richard Krieger), and Debra (Chris Landsberg), and 12 grandchildren.

Donations can be sent to the Jewish Community Center of Paramus/CBT or the American Heart Association. Arrangements were by Robert Schoem’s Menorah Chapel, Paramus.
