Fierce grace
Rabbi Geoffrey A. Mitelman of Temple Beth El of Northern Westchester in Chappaqua, N.Y., was in the original Rabbis Without Borders cohort. “Rebecca has been fantastic,” he said.
“The program brings together a lot of very intelligent, passionate, and sometimes high-powered rabbis. She is able to integrate all of their thinking in meaningful ways, and lead the discussion so everybody feels heard and no one feels talked-over. That’s not easy.”
Mitelman is working on “Sinai and Synapses,” his project for Rabbis Without Borders. “It’s designed to bridge the scientific and religious world. She’s been invaluable with ideas and guidance and suggestions every step of the way,” he said.
