Chabad centers to hold community seders
Chabad of Rockland will hold three community seders at locations in New City, Chestnut Ridge and Suffern on Monday, March 25 for erev Pesach.
The focus will be on a traditional, family-oriented seder at Chabad Jewish Enrichment Center, 6 Whitfield Rd., Chestnut Ridge, Chabad Lubavitch of Rockland, 315 N. Main St., New City, and Chabad of Suffern at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, 3 Executive Blvd., Suffern.
“Many people remember their grandmother telling stories of the family’s seder table back in Poland,” according to Rabbi Chaim Zvi Ehrenreich, spiritual leader of Chabad JEC in Chestnut Ridge. “Grandma would say, ‘They don’t make a seder like they used to.’ Well, the Chabad community seder would make any Jewish grandmother feel right at home.”
