Cancer survivors rally at ‘Relay’
Seventy cancer survivors who participated in the seventh annual Relay for Life of Paramus at Paramus High School last month raised more than $90,000. In addition, more than 500 community members participated in the 12-hour event, which is a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. A luminaria ceremony featuring a caregiver speaker was held to remember loved ones who died from cancer. The day was organized by a committee of student and adult volunteers, and it featured an all-student executive board. Donations can be made at relayforlife.org/paramusnj.
