Big chametz burning in Teaneck
The Jewish Center of Teaneck’s Amsel Big Bread Burn, in memory of Elizabeth Sher z’l, will be on Friday, April 19, from 9 to 11:45 a.m., in the shul’s parking lot. The Teaneck Fire Department will have trucks in the JCT parking lot for a photo op for all the kids who come to burn their small bags of chametz; children will get fire chief hats and Streits kosher-for-Passover lollipops.
The burn’s co-sponsors include Chabad of Teaneck, Congregations Beth Aaron, Netivot Shalom, Rinat Yisrael, Ohr Saadya, and Shaarei Orah; Gan Yavneh, Young Israel of Teaneck and Heichal HaTorah.
