BCHSJS head attends conference

Fred Nagler, the principal and director of the Bergen County High School of Jewish Studies, recently attended the Jewish Teen Education and Engagement Network conference in Houston. The JTEEN meeting’s theme was “Learn, Innovate, and Create Opportunity”; sessions included “Gen-Xers as Parents: Why Those Parents are So Difficult,” “Digital Addiction: What You Need to Know,” and “Keeping the Conversation Civil: Talking About Israel in a Political Divisive Time.” Another session, “Gen Z Now: Understanding and Connecting with Jewish Teens Today,” was a glimpse of the report that the Jewish Education Project will release. Each day began with text study with a member of Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies.
