Students from the Bergen County High School of Jewish Studies who participate in the Jewish Volunteer Corps’ yearlong class visited with residents of the Daughters of Miriam Center in Clifton, sharing stories about bar and bat mitzvahs, weddings, and visits to Israel. A Jewish Association for Developmental Disabilities resident works with Rabbi Moshe Grossbaum of Friendship Circle to make oil from an olive press. The oil is used to light a menorah. The Friendship Circle brings Jewish learning and music to the J-ADD residents in a socially friendly environment each month.
