‘Not a political issue’

Re: President Obama’s support of embryonic stem-cell research (March 13):

I support stem-cell research and hope it leads to a cure for Parkinson’s, cancer, spinal-cord injuries, and other diseases.

I know the pain of having lost loved ones due to these diseases, and I have a strong feeling that, in time, cures will be found.

This should not be a political issue, and I hope the American people support President Obama on it.
