‘Let this aid do some real good’
Despite the urging of the United Nations secretary general and other world leaders to stop the impending 14 ship flotilla from heading to Gaza, this urgently needed humanitarian aid should not go to waste. In order to demonstrate that the organizers’ intentions are indeed benevolent and altruistic rather than a politically motivated staging of a belligerent provocation in order to embarrass Israel, the flotilla’s invaluable cargo ought to be redirected to the thousands of displaced Syrians desperately struggling to find food and shelter along the Syrian Turkish border.
For God’s sake, and the sake of the hungry and traumatized children, let this aid do some real good where it is needed, rather than attempting to provoke violent confrontations and score political points by bringing it to a place that “has plenty of food available,” according to authoritative international news reports.
