Temple Emeth celebrates its leaders
Temple Emeth in Teaneck will pay tribute to three past presidents — Paula Dillon, Jill Kantor, and Howard Lieberman — at a dinner dance on Saturday, June 2, at 7 p.m. All are welcome to attend or place a journal ad.
Paula Dillon has been involved at the shul since 1993, when she and her husband participated in its outreach workshop for interfaith families. As president, she was responsible for the creation of task forces that led to significant and positive changes at the shul. She is also a past president of the Evening Division of the National Council of Jewish Women.
Jill Kantor is a member of the Players Guild and SummerStage, both in Leonia, a member of the shul’s choir, and the co-producer of Temple Emeth musical productions. With her co-president/fellow honoree Howard Lieberman, she expanded the use of social media, continued security initiatives, investigated solar energy, and fostered outreach programs.
Howard Lieberman and his wife joined Emeth for its services, strong religious school, and warm atmosphere. He was involved in many committees and hosted a leadership workshop for board members and congregants.
